Using an internal FIFO on each modem allows the MULTIMODEM to work with the fastest system available. State of the art integrated chip sets (ICS) are used to enable one board to replace the function of eight boards.
Use of the AMT MULTIMODEM adapter card replaces the need for an eight channel serial adapter and eight external modems, or an expensive main frame computer, in order to operate eight simultaneous modems.
The modular design of the MultiModem allows the user to start with one modem and expand up to eight modems per card.
